Roy, Toa of Pain by st3vethesquid Roy, Toa of Pain by st3vethesquid
Well, might as well eventually post this guy, seeing as he's now my self-moc, and I'm sending him to Bricks Cascade.

And woo, now I can't take more pics of him for ANOTHER month! Well, previously, I've just been lazy, nothing's been stopping me. At least I have an excuse now XD

Anyway, this is a revamp of one of the only characters of mine that I like, [link]
If you're wondering about that, I usually don't like my characters too much. But I'm planning on putting together a toa team of mocs I actually like XD

Well hope you like this guy, I'm super happy with how he looks. If you're expecting a story, that's too bad, that's not how I roll. If somebody wants to write some backstory for him and claim him for their story, fine by me, I don't really care about stories! :P

I might have to remake this guy again, in a completely different proportion (no more super bulky fatness :iconverysadplz:) because he is almost completely inflexible! I realized he can't even sit!

Well that's really all I have to say on the subject. Next moc: Lego Sollux! :iconawwyeahplz:

His name is...roy?
st3vethesquid Featured By Owner May 10, 2014  Hobbyist Artist
Yup. I'm not creative with anything but the physical construction of my mocs. Some of my mocs don't have names. He doesn't have a story either.

Where did those Trans. red curved technic beams come from?

Wassup stumpy XD
Serriously though this guy is short and stocky looking but has this nice effect that's almost over-armoured, like overlaping plating to reduce weak spots. Looks like it could pose well though.
Overal I love the leg armouring, the arms not so much and the torso's a bit flat. I also think that the back blades could be seperate instead of joined togther but still good :3

Yeah he's pretty much totally inflexible! The current WIP I have of the next version hasn't gone anywhere in the past months, but its back spikes are much more evenly spaced, and the stuff holding it together doesn't look so insanely stupid like it does now. It looks much more suspended. Honestly, looking at it now, I can probably improve on it even more.

But basically, I just haven't been able to crank out a new version. I don't put too much stock into having an SM, mostly for two reasons:
- On flickr, there's not much need for an SM.
- Almost all the mocists I'm friends with aren't the type that make other people's SM's much.

I don't think that I've seen a MOC this short so heavily armored. This is epic! I'm glad you upgraded him, he looks awesome now! :3

If you think of it this way, he is the equivalent of a walking tank. Tanks don't need much flexibility, because they are too damn well armored! xD *He doesn't appear fat in my opinion.*

I like how consistently stubby he is! :D Do the spiky things on his back move at all? I'm not sure how they'd move, exactly - maybe they could flare up like a male peacock.
